To Know Christ and Make Him Known

April Newsletter:

Well April is here and it is time to celebrate Easter, and more importantly than hiding eggs and eating candy, is to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Of course that should go without saying.  But the question is, "how do you celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ?" Is this Holy Day just a yearly reminder of what Jesus went through to give us eternal life and we celebrate Him conquering death and the grave? This should certainly be something that we do. We should remember the great price that Jesus paid for our sin, and how the grave could not hold him.

However, I believe that this Holy Day brings much more to mind than just what Jesus did for us.  Easter is a time that we remember that Jesus was resurrected, and as Christians that changes everything.  If Jesus was in fact resurrected, then He is who He said He is.  He is the Son of God. He is the only way to Heaven.  Therefore, since we believe Jesus was in fact resurrected, then everything in our lives has to change.  We need to live our daily lives like we believe that Jesus got up out of the grave. He is Lord. So during this Holy Day season let's live like we believe that He is no longer in the grave, because He is not.  That being said, this season should be a time of remembrance, but also a time that we consider how His resurrection will affect our everyday lives.

Until All Have Heard,
T.J.
