To Know Christ and Make Him Known

T.J.'s November Newsletter:

It is so hard to believe that November is already here. Before you know we will be accidentally dating our checks 2009 instead of 2010. This year has flown by! Typically what happens in the month of November is that people focus on what they are thankful for. 2009 will go down in my life as a year to be thankful for.

This year I was able to watch God bless both my family and me. My sister, who previously had struggled with many things, is getting married to a good Christian man! God is faithful in his care for us.

I was able to finish seminary. It was tough, time consuming, and sometimes inconvenient; however it was rewarding, useful, and a blessing. It is even more of a blessing now that 1 am finished.

Probably the biggest blessing is sitting beside me right now making all kinds of cute noises. Caedmon has absolutely changed my life! Children are such blessings. Take some time this month to really tell God how much you are thankful for. God has blessed us all in so many ways.

The question is, "How often to you give God thanks." Philippians 4:6-7 states, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." It seems that thanksgiving is important to God; therefore we should make it important to us!
